Our tiles are suitable for installation on walls in indoor environments.

Plan your layout, tile pattern, placement, and grout color. Careful planning contributes to a well-thought-out end result and minimizes waste and unnecessary cuts.

Inspect the tiles for any deformations that would make them unsuitable for installation. We do not accept complaints after installation.

When cutting tiles, we recommend using a wet saw with a diamond blade for a precise cut. Ensure that the tiles are completely dry before laying them. For advice regarding your specific material, consult a qualified tile setter.

Install according to industry standards for tiles.

We recommend improved, flexible cement-based adhesive for all our tile collections; this is particularly important for our handmade tiles. Fast-setting adhesive should be avoided. The choice of classification should be made in consultation with the tiler, based on the substrate, format, and specific project conditions.

Once the adhesive has cured, clean the surface by removing any dirt with a cloth and then wash with a pH-neutral cleaner. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow the surface to dry.

We recommend an unground, cement-based grout with a normal setting time. A minimal joint width of approximately 1–4 mm is usually suitable, but should be adjusted according to the tile format and project. Rectified tiles can have a narrower joint (1-2 mm), while tiles with a rounded edge may require a wider joint (at least 4 mm) to even out any variations.

Once the tiles are grouted, clean the surface thoroughly with water and a damp grout sponge to remove any grout residue.

Crackle-glazed tiles should be sealed both before and after grouting. Our other tiles do not require any preliminary treatment.

Tiles are a durable and easy-to-maintain material.

Weekly cleaning is done by wiping with a microfiber cloth or similar. If desired, a pH-neutral cleaning agent can be used during wet wiping.

Dust is most easily removed by dry mopping.

Do not use strong alkaline or acid-based cleaning products without checking that the surface can withstand them. First, test the product on a small, inconspicuous area, and feel free to consult us if you are unsure.

Craquelure is the appearance of fine cracks in the glaze of some of our tiles.

If these cracks come into contact with staining substances, they can easily become discolored. We therefore recommend impregnation both before and after grouting.

We recommend avoiding grout in contrasting colors, as pigments can penetrate the glaze cracks if the surface has not been treated correctly.

It is also important to immediately remove any grout residue from the surface.

Our zellige tiles are suitable for most indoor and outdoor environments.

The tiles can be used on both walls and floors in, for example, bathrooms and kitchens, as well as in environments such as spas, pool areas, and fountains.

We recommend impregnating terrazzo collection 001 with Fila MP90 Eco Plus, both before and after grouting, to facilitate cleaning and provide better stain protection.

Weekly cleaning is done by dry mopping to remove dust and other particles. To remove dirt that has stuck to the surface of the tiles, you can wet-wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth or mop and warm water. If desired, a pH-neutral cleaning agent can be used in conjunction with wet wiping.

Avoid strongly alkaline or acid-based cleaning products, as these can damage both the terrazzo and the joints.

Terrazzo is sensitive to acids, which can cause superficial marks or discolouration. Acids are found in, for example, acidic detergents, vinegar, carbonated drinks and coffee.

Coloured liquids and oils can also penetrate the tiles and leave stains. Spills should therefore be wiped up immediately to protect the surface.
