Transform your bathroom with tiles

Your bathroom is much more than just a functional space in your home — it's a harmonious sanctuary where you can relax, unwind, and take care of yourself, both physically and emotionally. One element that can truly enhance the atmosphere and feel of your bathroom is the choice of tiles. In this article, we explore the transformative power of tiles and hope to inspire creativity and ideas for your bathroom renovation.

Find the perfect tiles for your bathroom

We want your bathroom to last a long time, both from a sustainability and style perspective. The balance between style and functionality is therefore very important. Our tiles are a durable and timeless material that you won't tire of when trends shift.

Consider the impression you want the bathroom to convey; let your creativity flow and create mood boards with different material samples and color combinations. Our tile samples are available for purchase here. Be sure to view the tiles in the light they will be in, as different lighting creates different perceptions of the material.

For a calm and harmonious impression in the bathroom, use neutral or earthy tones. A warm creamy white, soft pink, or light green shade creates a peaceful atmosphere. In addition to the role of color in creating a harmonious impression, it is beneficial to keep the number of materials in the room to a minimum.

If you desire a bolder impression in the bathroom, feel free to explore our more vibrant and colorful shades such as Neptunus, Korall or Kyoto — or why not combine two different colors?

All our tile types are water-resistant, easy to clean, and resistant to organic acids. They are therefore perfectly suited for a bathroom. Read about how to care for your tiles here. Keep in mind that tiles are primarily suitable for wall installation. If you are looking for a material for your bathroom floor, please take a look at our clinker or terrazzo.

Matte or glossy tiles in the bathroom

We offer tiles in both matte and glossy finishes. Both have their advantages and are beautiful in their own ways. In terms of maintenance, there is no difference between them, so the choice of finish is primarily an aesthetic one.

Glossy tiles can visually make the bathroom appear larger because they reflect light better than matte tiles. Their way of reflecting light creates a beautiful depth in the room. Glossy tiles give the bathroom an exclusive and classic feel. Our tile types Pärlemor, Lime and Vanilj have beautifully glossy surfaces that give the room a luster and classic impression.

Matte tiles, with their slightly velvety surface and subdued feel, create a sophisticated and peaceful impression. As stains break the surface of glossy tiles, stains tend to be less visible on matte tiles.

Create depth with placement and format

In addition to the choice of tiles, the way you place them has a major impact on the design of your bathroom. The format also affects the room's feel. There are many ways to lay your tiles; below we go through a selection:

Fully tiled: Place tiles from floor to ceiling to create a cohesive and harmonious feel in the bathroom.

Dado height: Let the tiles go up to chest height (2/3 or 3/5) on the wall. Pairing tiles with a wet-room paint or plaster is a nice touch. You can also combine two different types of tiles. To give the tiles a neat finish, a specially adapted border is used.

Encase a niche: Add a dimension to the bathroom by encasing a defined area with tiles. For example, you can tile the shower area from floor to ceiling. It is also beautiful (and practical) to tile a built-in niche. A niche creates visual interest in your bathroom, while also serving as a storage shelf.

We hope you have been inspired to use our tiles to transform your bathroom. Do you have any questions or would you like to discuss your renovation? Send us an email at hello@terrastudios.se
