Shade variation is a natural characteristic of all ceramic products. Variations in color occur between different production batches and can also occur between individual tiles within the same batch.

Different materials and collections have different degrees of variation, which affects how much the tiles may differ from a sample.

Craquelé is the appearance of fine cracks in the glaze of some of our tiles. The size and pattern of the cracks vary from tile to tile.

Craquelé is not a defect, but a deliberately created decorative effect.

Tiles with a crackle glaze should not be used on countertops or other surfaces subject to heavy wear. Some are not suitable for installation in wet areas. All tiles with a craquelé glaze should be sealed before and after grouting.
